The Argos Apartments on the Beltline has always come with one big perk: living right on the trail. Now our residents have an even bigger reason to love the location. The whole southern half of the loop finally connects all the way through, opening up neighborhoods that used to feel a little out of reach for anyone heading out on foot or by bike.
Step out the front door and the trail goes both ways: north on the Eastside Trail toward Krog Street Tunnel, or south on the Southeast Trail through Boulevard Crossing Park. Our building amenities support this kind of day-to-day life, from secure indoor bike storage to EV charging right at the parking spots.
More of Atlanta Is Within Walking Distance
For years, the southern side of the Beltline had a frustrating pattern. The trail would start, run for a while, and then just stop. People had to navigate city streets to find the next connected section, breaking up walks and bike rides that should have felt seamless. On June 12th, the completion of the remaining Southside Trail created 18.3 miles of completed paved trail, including 16.7 miles of continuous Atlanta Beltline mainline trail plus 1.6 miles of the Westside Beltline Connector Trail.
This project builds on the City of Atlanta's 2018 acquisition of the Southside Trail corridor from CSX in a $26 million transaction, securing more than four miles of corridor that made these segments possible. The loop now runs continuously from the Eastside down through Grant Park, Ormewood Park, and all the way to Pittsburgh Yards in southwest Atlanta.
Locals call the new connected portion "The U" because of its shape on the map. The Argos Apartments on the Beltline is in the middle of the U, which puts you right at the heart of all the new connections. Morning bike rides now go for miles in either direction without crossing a major intersection. Weeknight walks can take a completely different route every time.
Glenwood Park and Ormewood Park, Right Outside the Door

You'll find Glenwood Park just half a mile north of The Argos Apartments on the Beltline, along the Southeast Trail. Vickery's Bar and Grill, The Shed at Glenwood, and Emmy Squared Pizza all sit within a few storefronts of each other, which makes Glenwood Park the kind of spot where people drift over for an unplanned dinner. Drip Coffee House handles the morning crowd with strong espresso and a relaxed vibe. Brewer Park and Brasfield Square, complete with a bocce court, give people somewhere green and easy to land on a weekend afternoon.
Ormewood Park is east of the trail and feels like a different world from intown Atlanta. Craftsman bungalows with big porches line every street, and oak trees stretch out over the sidewalks. Boulevard Heights, just south, has the same easy pace. Many people use the Beltline to roll into both neighborhoods for a Sunday stroll or a quick run. A quick rundown of what else is within a short walk or ride:
- Boulevard Crossing Park, the closest park on the Beltline, just down the trail
- Glenwood Park's restaurants and coffee shops sit a half-mile north
- D.H. Stanton Park and Adair Park line the southern stretch, perfect for a longer walk
- Pittsburgh Yards on the southwest end has food halls, breweries, and regular weekend events
Our available floor plans at The Argos on the Beltline show layouts that fit a life on the trail. Indoor bike storage means you don't have to leave your ride outside in the rain. Open-concept kitchens give people room for hosting friends after a long ride or walk.
Experience A New Rhythm for Southside Living
The completion of the southern loop isn't just about trail miles; it's about a fundamental shift in how the neighborhood moves. With the connection to Pittsburgh Yards and the expanded access points at Grant Park and Ormewood Park, the trail has evolved into daily infrastructure. You can now weave errands, social hangouts, and morning workouts into a single, seamless route. Easy accessibility turns the southern Beltline into a cohesive community spine where the best of Atlanta, from weekend markets to weekday dining, is always just a short walk or ride away, removing the friction of city traffic.
